Cat Bathing

You may find it odd that cats need a bath even though they have the natural ability to groom themselves, however, bathing has many advantages! A clean coat can help cats to keep a healthy look and digestive system. When they groom themselves they take in quite a bit of their own fur. Bathing your cat can help with removing debris they may have picked up outside, if they spend any time outdoors, and remove dust they have collected from the indoors, along with keeping their level of fur intake to a minimum. Bathing removes excessive oils that may be building up on their coat. Worried about your kitty licking at the shampoos used on their fur? Not a problem! We use all-natural products that won’t be harmful or harsh on their stomachs when they go to groom themselves, which we all know they will do.

Brushing

Just like with trimmings, regular brushing on both long haired and short haired cats reduces excess loose hair and the amount of fur they will take into their system. Long haired felines especially also face the risk of matting if grooming outside of their own natural grooming is neglected. Matting can cause serious health problems by cutting off blood flow to the top layer of skin, leading to infections. Regular brushings prevent matting and increase blood flow throughout for improved overall health.

Hair Trimming

Cats can be tricky to know if they need haircuts. While most short haired breeds have no need for trims, many longhair breeds need a trim to keep their fur in balance. Excessive hair growth will more than likely shed all over your home and a lot of it can end up in your kitty’s stomach. Trimmings eliminates loose hairs and styles the rest of the hair into a much more manageable fashion for them to groom and not ingest copious amounts of their own fur.

Claw / Nail Trimming

Cats rely heavily on their nails for protection, climbing, and hunting, however they can be accidentally harmful to us and your pets themselves if allowed to grow too long. Have you ever been playing with your kitty when they swiped for their toy too close to your hand and cut you accidentally? These scratches can be incredibly uncomfortable and easily infected. Keeping your cat’s nails trimmed helps stop unintended scratches to you and them, and help maintain the longevity of your furniture (because we all know, they like using furniture as scratching posts). Trimming their nails keep them from accidental injuries and reduces the amount of bacteria living on their nails.

Ear, Eye, and Teeth Cleaning

We also offer services to clean your kitty's eyes to remove harmful and obstructive debris, as well as remove unsightly discoloration of discharge. Ear cleanings are also offered to remove any materials and blockages that may arise from natural buildup or infectious debris. Teeth cleanings also maintain oral health so your cat won’t be uncomfortable eating, drinking or grooming themselves!
